Pukeko A Pukeko is one of New Zealands native birds .It is from the rail family and is real acted to the weka a takahe. A Pukeko lives in mucky wet swampy areas .They live here because that where their food sources are. The Pukeko has a red bill ( beak) with amour at the top. The feathers are bluish and indigo,and the rest is night black. A Pukeko does hunts for its food,it eats frogs,eggs and bugs.It looks after its young and if it needsa new home it will look for a new one. The Pukeko moves on two legs and has three toes on each side of its feet.Its legs make the Pukeko strong and good for running away from predators,like farmers,cats,dogs and wild animals Conclusion Pukeko a have more interesting things than you think so look after these birds.
