The Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Rio
Olympics
On Saturday
the 6th of August, at the Rio Olympics stadium, I am the New Zealand flag
bearer at the Opening Ceremony. As I walk into the stadium I see the crowd
sitting down on there seats wearing clothes that represent other countries.
Waiting for the Opening Ceremony to start, I saw the people at the back of me
waving and saying hi. I look up and sees fireworks up in the sky while I am
walking around the stadium. I hear the crowd cheering and yelling with excitement.
They are as loud as a pack of lions roaring. I can hear fireworks setting off
up in the sky. They we're beautiful. I smell popcorn coming from the crowd
because people are eating it. I feel like eating some fruit and a drink myself.
I feel honoured after the opening ceremony has finished because I got chosen to
be the New Zealand flag bearer.
